Monitoring well?

Yesterday I looked up to get a blip and today I looked down. This intrigued me. I have no idea what it is, but I really like the shape of the pavement snaking around the metal and the different colours and textures in the rocks. The metal piece itself reminds me of an hourglass and the patterns in it are so cool. Then there's that tiny bit of red. For some reason, it has a classical look to it.
An assortment of shapes, colours, textures, patterns - maybe this will be my entry for the WBC.
