Album of 2014

...12 years too late!

My favourite album of the year purchased so far was released in 2002.

How I missed it I don't know but there you go.

I'm actually surprised these two ever worked together again as things didn't go well first time around but presumably things were patched up.

The other difficult thing is that after the first three tracks I didn't want to listen to the rest of it as you begin to doubt that the remainder of the album could keep up with the outrageously high standard already set.

It shouldn't work - David McAlmont's diva-esque sonic splitting show tune drama alongside Bernard Butler's wah-wah squelching hurricane of guitar.

Thankfully it does.
