Comiston House Stable Block.

This was the stable block for Comiston House, built around 1815. It currently stands empty. It has B level listed building status

If you look at the sign it says "Fairmilehead Home Guard Club Private Property". The building was used as a social club for the Fairmilehead Home Guard, later becoming the Fairmilehead Home Guard snooker club. In the 70s, there were still a fair number of the original Home Guard who used to turn up, and as a club, there used to be a long waiting list. To play snooker, you needed to team up and play doubles. In the 90s and early decade, membership dwindled, and it closed in 2010. (The Scotsman 18/10/2010)

It is for sale, has planning permission and building warrants to enable the building to be turned in to a 3 / 4 bedroom property, with courtyard. Fancy it?
