Laura has arrived!

What a day so far! She was born by Cesarean section at 8.25am and is a healthy 3.97kg 51cm girl. She has already fed and also found her fingers for some comfort.

The operation itself was so fast and efficient, that I'd do it again. But I won't. There were 9 people in the room excluding us. And all was done and dusted, or rather stitched within an hour. My favorite part, after seeing and cuddling my newborn daughter, was being transported from the operating table onto a bed by some sort of hovercraft. We are now in our own room with a stunning view of Adelaide hills and parklands. The painkillers are working well, so life is great.
