finding shelter...

...in the storms

of life - wherever they may find you - in unexpected places - or ordinary ones - you can seek out protection - just as seen here - in the fullness of nature

i looked - looked twice - it's not the most perfect of scenes - with nature it seldom is - sometimes it's just a tiny bit messy - i think that's what makes it the most beautiful - here the lily is twisted slightly - a little misformed - as if it has been trying to reach through the leaves - to get to the light - isn't that how we humans are? we stretch - throw our arms around - struggle a bit - trying to find our way - seeking out the path - we must get on track - and when we are faced with a challenge - we seek out a hiding place - somewhere to go - where safety exists - where we know all is going to be okay - for me, it makes me think of my father god and seeking his shelter - for it is said: "whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the almighty" psalm 91:1 (niv) - now that makes for...
