Flooding

So nice to be able to look out over the ocean and- hang on, didn't we have a lawn there?

If you subscribe to many blippers from Christchurch you'll probably be seeing a few photos like this - today has been a rainy day.

I actually worked from home today because I was worried about the rising waters. Although I'm not sure what I would have done of it had worsened - maybe tried stuffing towels under the doors?

Luckily it has started to ease back and it looks like we'll eventually get our lawn back. I feel especially lucky that it never made it into the house - unlike quite a few people we know.
