Watching from above

We trekked up to the fort wall before sunrise. But these days, there's a thick layer of grey above the horizon, so when the sun does make itself visible, it's a bit high. We walked all the way through the narrow path which led us to the army area.

Hardly had four hours of sleep after yesterday evening. I could blame the lack of creativity on that.

This shot is an example of a near miss. I knew the little one in the background was curious, so I waited for him to peep. But I did not change the focus to his face. If I would have done that, it would have been the photo I wanted.
