A bit more modern

There was an old stove here when we moved in. It seemed to eat fuel and produce very little heat so we began looking for a replacement.

We wanted plain and simple but were worried that something contemporary might not look right in a big stone fireplace. I don't think we need to have worried.

It has ben slightly surreal. Once fitted it had to be lit to test it and burn off the coating so on a nice sunny afternoon we had the stove burning away and the windows open to clear the fumes/smoke. It was still toasty warm in the sitting room.
