Weird Ice

Yesterday my husband blipped about some strange ice formations he had found in a saucer in the garden (you can see it here). So this morning I was determined to see it for myself! This is so strange. These fronds are on the underside of the ice and are so incredibly thin. I've never seen anything like it. It brings Dr Seuss to mind - "Oh, the wonders you'll see".
