Along with primrose this is the first thing to flower in the garden and except when I hack it about a bit too vigorously it's 100% reliable, covering the pergola in sweetly scented flowers that last a good long time too

I took this before Gareth got here this morning, knowing we were going to be up to our necks in paperwork for the rest of the day. Which we were, getting things sorted for the work to be starting next week in Regent's Park.

Mushroom risotto for supper, soothing and restorative. That's what I'm hoping anyway, I feel a bit frayed at the edges at the moment
