Strange sky

This blip was taken early afternoon today. Very strange light. We'd just got back from Arundel Wetlands Centre. What a difference a week makes. Last week half the centre was still flooded and closed, the numbers of birds was subdued. Today it was like Spring had burst on the scene. Lots of pairings and squawking. We spent a while in the forest hide just enjoying the blue tits, coal tits robins, dunnocks etc.

Painting with 8 year old grand-daughter this afternoon and we finished a 'drippy painting' (see here and here). It will sadly be our last weekly session as her mum has gone back to work now littlest grandson is a year old this week. Her dad has almost finished paternity leave and both children will be going to a local childminder for day and after school care. We'll miss seeing them each week, but she has now decided to come for painting holidays during school holidays.
