Visited The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2013 exhibition (1st March-26th May) at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street this morning with Mum. Wonderful.
Opened in 1889, the gallery is described on the National Galleries Scotland web site as,
....."a great sandstone neo gothic palace with an elaborate Arts and Crafts decorative scheme, both inside and out with glittering friezes, evocative murals and extensive sculptural embellishments."
Well worth a visit any time of the year. It also houses the National Photographic Gallery.
This was a quick, naughty shot of one of the stewards looking down into the stunning entrance hall.
