What a difference a day makes

I rushed out this morning to take a few shots in the vicinity of our Porto hotel before heading off to the airport, to make sure I could post one last shot from Portugal. We were relieved to find the rain had stopped and there were patches of blue in the sky

The area of the hotel was new and concrete and I missed the new concrete Opera House. I snatched this photo of a monument in a park in the nearby roundabout. In the foreground is the "Monumento aos Heróis da Guerra Peninsular". There is a pretty older building at the side of the park with a backdrop of new concrete ones. I did not have time to find out what the old building was.
