Porto airport

You realise that you've got a poor harvest of photos when the best ones - from a trip to one of the most interesting cities in Europe - are from the airport and then from the aeroplane as you leave.

It's rained; I've been stuck in a hotel in suburbia; the timetable has been overfull. All of those factors have militated against seeing anything of Porto apart from a few streets between the hotel and the meeting room.

Not the best of international travel, but sometimes typical for work travel.

On the plus side, the airport reflected the best of architectural modernism, as celebrated in a recent BBC series.

Oh, and there was one last hotel blip.
