Today was the 124th anniversary of the opening of the Forth Rail Bridge which is of course on the right and is now a candidate for World Heritage Status.
September 4th this year will see the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Forth Road Bridge, which is on the left, and which my grandfather often took me to see as it was being built.
Now work is well underway on the new Queensferry Crossing, which is marked by the lights on the left below the road bridge.
It seemed a good evening to take this, as dusk fell, on my way to Dundee.
