My hot desk (Where I've sat for the last 13 Days)

Well yesterday was day 13 at Fujitsu services in the BAS team and it was a very busy office, I got in early so I got my usual desk and took a blip of my new Fujitsu Laptop and the view from the office window, not the most existing thing, but as Roz put it "Very tidy. Pretty much as I'd expect really!". We had a Welsh DBA going thru the FSA BAU and early morning checks done (Similar to what we use to do at Solihull) with my Oracle DBA colleague Balraj who started a week before me. He got made redundant from HP then got the job at Fujitsu the week after.

The 'Mobile phone blade to VM' project had an issue as Web Logic 10.1.6 failed to start after installing it, after spending four hours and a sleepless night trying to sort it out, we decided to go back to the previous version Web Logic 10.1.5 and Web Logic started successfully, to any middleware specialise out they if you get Oracle Workflow 10.1.6 to work with Oracle 11.2.1.4 please let me know how....

Had my first WebEx meeting with Elaine my Project Manager based in Manchester after spending 10 minutes discussing the mobile phone project and finally getting a time sheet code out of her, then she spent the next 20 minutes telling me about her latest promotion and pay rise and how hard it is working from home (how the other half live) and how hard it is getting a DBA at Fujitsu to sort her projects out and how lucky she is to get me I did tell her most DBA's don't really have the skills to install and configure middleware, but I'll give it a go as still waiting for HO clearance anyway finished at 4ish and after my tea and retrieving my empty green recycle bin I had a power nap totally exhausted. Got a BMW broucher in the post will have to make do with the Diesel hire car until May,...
