Pre-Pup Project

I had looked at dark red walls for over 7 years, and as much as I loved the cozy, warm color... this winter has left me craving light. Kaylee and I discussed our color options for a week... in watching the previews of the HGTV Dream Home, we both felt that we could keep the grey, paint the red walls a smoky grey and accent with yellow/white.

It's just a couple hours old, and we truly need to get shopping for fabric (curtains) and accent pieces in yellow, but I already LOVE the light, airy feel that it brings to the kitchen. Simply removing the bakers rack has opened up the kitchen area. I plan on purchasing a writing desk to place along the wall where the chalkboard is, this would give us a home for the laptop and a purpose for our extra chair.

I already love it... hopefully when all of my décor/curtains are up, it'll be even better!
