Tree of Life, now Dead

A very sad day for Keswick. The tree that has sat behind the war memorial has had to be taken down. You may be able to make out the tree surgeon at the top. It's come to be known as the, "Tree of life", because at Christmas time it's decorated with thousands of light bulbs in remembrance of local folk who have passed away. It's one of those things that I keep meaning to take a shot of but never quite get around to doing it. Well I certainly won't be doing it now.
