Cousins

Thursday. Planned to pick up the 4 grandchildren from school today (now that we’re all rested from our island time.:-) but Oskar was sick and didn’t go to school. so his MOm had to stay home with him anyway...Hope he is fine for his birthday on saturday!
We bought donuts on the way home, played with the ipad for awhile -Niklas has a new Youtube gaming thing of his he just started (called Nikflix) - it’s a stretch for me to figure it out, but I’ll eventually get it. Fiona is showing them how good she is at "cut the rope" here.. Then we made chocolate chip cookies and then we looked at a carousel of slides in our ongoing project to pick out what we want to save. We are up to 1967 when the girls’ dad was a year old. They thought they might be bored (especially NIk whose Dad wasn’t yet born) but they really got into it in a way I never thought about. It went like this:
“There’s the santa and sleigh that we put on our table at Christmas!”
“OMG there’s the fisher price phone that’s in Toy Story!”
“There’s that painting that’s on the wall RIGHT THERE!”
“There’s the kids chair that we sit on!”
“OMG that looks like the little table you painted, Nanna, that I’m too big for and was going to give away --Now I want to save it !(Actually NIk decided to give it to Fiona who is overjoyed.)
“Why is everyone so OUT OF STYLE?”
“What funny hairdos!”
“Is that really Uncle Tom?”
'MY Dad is SO CUTE!"
They made us save more than H and I would have.. :-) but what fun that was!
NIk’s Dad came to get him and we had pizza with the girls and Boppa is taking them home ( after Fiona insisted on going to the playground but got a block away and decided it was too cold and too dark so came back and we read books) while I try to post the blip.....
