Boots to die for

Wanaka is full of shows - motorbikes, agricultural, biking, cars - we went to the agricultural one. Fantastic weather and all the men were in their cowboy hats, women and children in sun hats, even horses were covered in sun proof jackets to stop the sun bleaching their coats. |Huge new tractors and machinery commanded attention, horse riding/jumping contests, sheepdog trials were a hoot with terrible jumpy and evil sheep that refused to be controlled. The vegetables, jams, cakes and flower competitions were fun to see as I went in just after judging and there were many grousy comments and hands in the air in disgust at the results. Best things were the children's entries in making something out of vegetables with huge imaginative results.

Am having a bit of trouble with a borrowed point and shoot camera - mine died before I left Timaru and has been left with a repair man in the hope he can work miracles.
