Motoring in 1900

If, like me you love studying old maps, you would love looking at this wonderful touring atlas and gazetteer of the British Isles in 1900. So much has changed in 114 years - new towns, new cities - new motorways and dual carriageways. I was surprised by how small many of the towns and villages in my area were all that time ago - many just had a few small cottages strung along what was then the main road. I must thank yet another good friend for this book as it was yet another Birthday present - haven't I done well this year!
