'Boneo Paddock'
Worth a look LARGE this one.
A last minute change of plans today. We have decided not to go away camping, but to spend each day exploring a different part of Victoria and coming home at nights to sleep in our own beds while the kids fall asleep in the car.
A really great day today, we headed down to the Mornington Peninsula and first stop was at Flinders Pier where we wandered around the beach and the pier for a while, then back up the road to a local chocolate factory. The hand made chocolates looked incredible and very edible so we've bought a few home to sample.
Back in the car headed down to Sorrento to catch the ferry with our car across to Queenscliff. We made a quick stop on the side of the road in Boneo to take a few shots of this wonderfully surreal landscape (this was one of them). The weather was very strange today too, a bit misty all day, but just added to the holiday type feel for us. The kids loved the 45 minute trip on the ferry and there was a persistent seagull who followed us all the way over to the other side of the bay.
Drove down to Geelong and had fish n chips for dinner along the foreshore. There were loads of different playgrounds and a brilliant skate park which both of our two really loved.
Getting late now, so off to bed and we'll have to wait and see where tomorrow takes us.
And thanks so much to everyones lovely comments on yesterdays image of our gardener, unfortunately when we woke up this morning an animal had eaten all of the seedlings that Dylan had planted last night except for the strawberries. Gggrrrr. Not happy about that.
