Little Egret

I think this is A Little Egret.

It was paddling in the flooded lagoon.

This area flooded during the high tides before christmas, and has remained so.

In the past this has been transient.

Normally I see the Egrets on the dunes.

This is the first time I have seen it here.

A very elegant bird.

Hadn't realised that it belonged to the heron family.

Found out this snippet of information whilst trying to identify it.
