Avon Springs

Took a day off today. Last night met up for a fine evening with Prof Seth and then this morning he and I went to Avon Springs fishery near Stonehenge. Neither of us had ever been here before... this was Seth's first ever fly-fishing trip, and in the chaos and (actual) madness of last year I'd not managed a fishing trip since June.

I showed Seth the ropes, and then he caught his first fish before I could get a fly in the water. Later on I got a couple of lovely fish: one of 4.5lb and the other almost 5lb. The weather was kind to us and the dramatic clouds were changing rapidly; wish I had shot some timelapse... maybe next time.

A great day out. Must do it more often. Trout for dinner tomorrow.
