The Acropolis

After breakfast I headed up to the roof of my hotel to try and get a shot of the Acropolis (the hill) and the Parthenon (the temple dedicated to Athena on the top). I can see the Parthenon from my room but only just above the rooftops so I thought I'd get a clearer shot from the roof.

This morning was warm and dry in Athens although it was very wet this afternoon. To my surprise I had a little spare time before the conference started to jump onto the subway system and go and have a quick look round the new Acropolis museum.

The museum is well worth a visit, but unfortunately I didn't have time to do the museum and go up to the Parthenon although I am hoping that I might have time to do that tomorrow before heading to the airport.
