A Urika Moment

Have been researching the early history of railways across Sussex so naturally started with the London & Brighton Railway. The first Station Master at East Grinstead, which opened on 9 July 1855, was a Peter Bennett. I can trace some of his history through ancestry.com. But its very difficult to describe the feeling, when turning the pages of the L&BR's 'Traffic Committee' when a name leaps off the page at you.
