BUFFALO MATING SEASON

Believe it or not this photo was taken on the North Fork of Long Island, NY! We observed the buffalo to be engaged in a mating ritual. Two buffalo who clink their horns while a third buffalo stood nearby! Then, the two horn clinking buffalo would run around. Some would lie down and rub in the dirt, rolling from one side to another. There was lots of mounting going on.......
