Peace. Love. NHSHO
We had a great rehearsal this morning putting final touches on our Shostakovich.
I saw Evan Bish and Adam concertmaster from all-state walking around.
A group of us walked and went to this southern restaurant. Lol it was called Food For Ur Soul. We wanted to get some good southern native food. It took forever but was yummy.
I met up with the fam+Aunt Colleen at the expo. I had fun being a nerd. Courtney tried out cellos. I bought the Franck Sonata just for shiggles...yay. I also got a cool bracelet made of violin strings.
I went for a quick run along the water.
Concert! I was actually impressed with the Kentucky Performing Arts Center...given that it's Kentucky. I thought it was a FANTASTIC concert. I almost cried in the third movement. Some transitions we had done better in rehearsal but a lot of it was beautiful. Such great phrasing.
Afterwards, a lot of us hung out in the lobby. Talking with Rachel, Gina, Stephen, Sparkles, Nadia, and many others has been fun these past days.
Now it's 1:15 and I have to be up at 5.
I know whenever I listen to the Shostakovich, I will be transported back to this amazing day.
