A dodgy flight to Vancouver
The skies were reasonably clear, but god it was rough! Witness ... my fuselage mate with her head resting on the window frame. She'd had quite enough by the time Vancouver came into view a half hour after leaving Victoria.
There were times we seemed to be going side to side at the same time each end was bobbing up and down! I tried to focus on the back of the seat in front of me, as one does, but in such small quarters, and pressed up against a window, it's difficult to block out your peripheral vision without a set of blinders.
That the pilot WHOOPED! from time to time did nothing to sooth us.
I know how Cat feels when Fred swoops her off the floor, swings her over his head, gives her a jiggle, then YELPS with laughter.
The flight back (which I boarded despite the fact an hour and a half journey by sea was far more enticing) was smooth an uneventful.
We flew right over the south end of SSI and I snapped Ganges and Fulford Harbour at gay abandon, with Nanzy19 in mind. Bit of a shame the window was so dirty and all my snaps were ruined (yeah ... right)
Anyway ... TERRA FIRMA!
