Life Imitates Art,

- - - or is it the other way around?

One of the highlights of tonight's Art Walk were sketches and paintings by my lovely and talented friend, Kathy Bastow. I've always been a big fan of Kathy's "found art" creations, particularly, her wonderfully clever clocks!

Never one to stay still for too long, Kathy has now ventured into drawing and painting, and recently completed a "forensic drawing" class down in Arizona. This means that if someday you find yourself in the predicament of having to describe the burglar who broke into your house, Kathy could be the forensic artist creating the sketch.

One of the projects for her forensic drawing class was to complete sketches from photographs. Here we are standing before one of her masterpieces. Perhaps you recognize the subject?
