My daughters have a school project to write to someone to either thank them for the work they do or to make a request of them. Florence chose to write tot eh Children In Need Trustees (she was very definite about wanting to write to those in charge) but Hope wanted to write to someone rich. She also wanted Scottish, so we looked at the Sunday Times Rich List, excluded the obvious philantrophists (Farmer, Hunter etc) and came to the owner of one half of the bigot brothers.

She wrote (in case the iphone photo is as crap as they mostly are) 'Dear Sir David Murray, Please could you give some of your moeny to the poor people because that would make the world a better place. From Hope Jackson'

Hard to argue with redistributive taxation, when raised by a 6 year old.
