Changed

After returning the hire car I walked back along Salamander St to the bus stop - a couple of hundred yards I usually avoid due to the heavy (in both senses) traffic. I had already noticed that the Pond pub has been repainted and is no longer that unpleasant shade of lime green but the fact that this Wine Barrel thing had replaced the Galley was a surprise. Apparently it had closed back in November, due to "location and premises issues" - first time I'd noticed.

It was very windy but there were bright sunny intervals between the hail showers. Edinburgh weather back to normal, then!
