International Womens Day last year was celebrated in the Tatiara District with the hanging of this work in the foyer of the Civic Theatre where I photographed it today. Quoting the Country Arts website:

The initiative was a collaborative effort between the local quilting group, migrant women, Tatiara Community Health, Tatiara District Council and Country Arts SA to mark the International Women’s Day theme “Empowering Rural Women”.
