Rob Machado and John Swift

We went to the premier of a new Rob Machado surf video called "The Drifter" at the Patagonia store in Cardiff by the Sea - just a few miles south of home. We waited in line and got autogaphs from Rob and then sat for a short concert with Rob and John Swift who play on the sound track. The movie itself is my favorite surf movie to date - there was a story line rather than just clip after clip of surfers doing amazing stunts. The movie played outside under the stars and we felt lucky to be living in such a beautiful place where something like that is possible in mid-November.
