International Women's Day.T

Three sisters from my husband's family. Annie at the back, born in 1874, Ettie, right, 1876 and Rosa 1878. They were an inspiring trio, although only to their family.
Ettie and Rosa ran a very successful Post Office and newsagents, at a time when women didn't do such work.
Annie had a very sad marriage, as her husband stole money from his workplace, and she was left to bring up two children on her own. She turned to writing to earn money, and wrote for a number of local newspapers. We have a lot of her work, along with a receipt for information supplied, about the Ramshaw Street affair?? for which she received £1. 1.0d.
We are very proud of their achievements.
