Antique Window

When company is in town we like to take them for a tour of Lancaster County to see the countryside, go through a few antique stores, eat out a lot, and get some shopping in. I am guessing these are old oil cans in the window. Lends a nice silhouette to the scene, I think.

Speeding towards the shortest day of the year, we were heading home under the cover of darkness even though it was only five o'clock in the afternoon. Not one mile away from home, three deer popped out in front of us. We were not tearing down the road and had enough time to swerve & miss one deer, but hit another one anyway. We had to find a neighbor who owned a gun to come and shoot the deer to put it out of its misery. I think it had one or two broken legs. Was a sad ending to an otherwise great day.
