Rejuvenation exposes history

The existing signage on this outdoor pursuits shop (now closed like lots of shops on Kendal's high street) has been removed and has exposed a previous life of the shop. I've been here since 1988 and can't remember "Self Service" shop on Finkle street. Wonder what else it has been since it was built?
