Sweet Saturday

This lovely setting is a 2 minute walk from my front door. My boys, who are grown now, used to walk through this park to school and spent endless hours here playing basketball, baseball and football in the warm weather and sledding on the hills in the winter. When we were looking for a house 30 years ago, a walk into this park on a beautiful fall day convinced us this is where we wanted to be.

The weather cooperated today and I was able to take an early morning walk with my camera. It felt so luxurious to have the time after a busy week. The pond still has remnants of ice which will be gone after today. I look forward to the weeping cherry trees blooming in a few weeks.
