Resting On Lock 2

I found this guy resting flat out on an arm of Lock 2 of the Lancaster Canal - Glasson Dock Branch. His dog just seemed to be waiting for his walk. Once disturbed he didn't mind posing for this photograph.

Lancaster Canal - Glasson Dock Branch was authorised by an Act of May 1793, work did not start until 1823 and the branch was opened in June 1826.
