International Women's Day

My girl grows ever more special every day. She is amazing, wonderful and brilliant. And makes my life fuller in every way. Alice is amazing. Alice is wonderful. Alice is brilliant.

Today we have spent some time with friends and their new baby. Alice played beautifully with the new baby's big brother. And Rudy entertained himself and chatted happily with anyone and everyone. And we relaxed. It felt significant; it's not always been easy to enjoy the social times with the kids. Alarmingly energetic children + smaller other people's children + things that might break + unpredictable mood swings (the bairns, not me) = not quite relaxing.

Sigh. We're all growing up.
