Superdragon

First AM today in Newport. As LM Treasurer it seemed like a good idea to show my face as we were hosing AM.

Relaxed start to the day, we'd been asked to turn up for 10am to help with setting up, so the cat had to wait for his breakfast while I buried my head under the duvet. I'd been awake at 4.30am, one of those "interesting" dreams that are worth recording, haven't had time to reflect/meditate on it yet. I went downstairs to write it down without disturbing K - even the cat stayed put!

Found the place ok and settled in to be available as "host" [with the others of course] to welcome the visitors. Several areas not represented today - no rugby internationals today so a bit unexpected and disappointing for the organisers I guess. Room soon set up and visitors started arriving, so began with the "mingling". AH introduced herself, I said "as in EH the famous bird photographer?". "Yes", she said, explaining the connection. That was it, I was hooked. Nobody else got a look in as we compared notes on local birding and the great mans photos. A wonderfully interesting start to the day, but also some interesting "connections" surfaced which are a bit too deep to explain here.

Not many opportunities to get photos as there was plenty to go through during the business meeting. The "business" part of it not my favourite way of spending a sunny Saturday afternoon but the social interaction very enjoyable. Made do with a grab shot of a "superdragon" standing in the corner, before K draped herself around it in admiration and tried to make off with it.

The time soon passed and we listened to short talks by invited speakers before clearing up and making our merry way home at about 4.30pm. Time to reflect on the day and see what comes up in Meditation.
