Uncrowned Winner

I had expected three extra guests for dinner this evening so prepared everything last night allowing the flavours have time to seep through every morcel but unfortunately my guests never managed the long journey. It was to be a competition dinner which had been arranged recently and had lots of culinary kudos riding on it with the future probability of much peer derision.... I can only assume the failure to show may have been the perceived horror of having to concede victory... That's my story anyhow.
I did manage to round up some friendly reprobates for the tasting and am happy my efforts were appreciated... I sense a title in the offing..... just saying..
