You can't make old friends. A saying I have learned in the past year that really rings true to me.

My husband and I have known this fella for 20 odd years. From schoolboy, Safeway grocery boy, Costa Del Sol DJ, Royal Marine, Pirate Hunter, High Voltage Linesman and most recently, father.

He's a very special friend, been around through our adult life journey and he makes me laugh every time I see him. One of life's optimists, he has a very positive attitude towards everything.

A good guy to have around.
