Scooting, but not as we know it
We were in Livingston today for the second round of the Scottish Urban Orienteering League. There were two races with the total time of both runs giving the winner. My runs were similar to the Scottish rugby team's day. I had a good first half with a respectable position after my run. Early in the second race, I punched the wrong control and ended up with no overall result. A bit gutted as I ran well in that one as well. Still there's always next time. Afterwards, we went for a walk to kill some time, as we live close to Murrayfield and it's hard to get along the main road before the game and impossible afterwards. There is a skate park near the civic centre, which today had lots of wee kids on scooters. They were brilliant and went about at speed, doing jumps and tricks. This guy did a flourish after going up the walls. Good to see he was wearing a helmet too, so being safe is obviously cool.
