Perentie

Look away if you like fluffy chicks! This is a Perentie, Australia's largest lizard having lunch. A back-blip from yesterday.
The Perentie was a favoured food item among desert Aboriginal tribes and features a lot in Aboriginal art. It is a shy creature living in arid areas, usually away from human contact and has beautiful markings.
