Contented Cardinal

I've been enjoying seeing fellow blippers post photos of cardinals because they are one of my favorite birds and I haven't seen one myself lately.

Imagine my delight in seeing this Mr. Cardinal. Hidden in the upper branches was his well-camouflaged Mrs.!

Mr. Cardinal seemed very content as I photographed him; what a pleasure!

Speaking of pleasure: the sun was shining for most of the day today, it didn't snow AND the temperature lingered in the 20 degree range. I believe we have said good riddance goodbye to the subzero temperatures. Spring is near, I can feel it.
