Eyebright, at Richmond, Nelson, (NZ) celebrated the sunflower this weekend with a Festival of Art, Music, Food and a display of Horse Drawn Carriages.
The weather was perfect as was the venue - and of course, the Sunflowers were at their best.
The Sunflower (Helianthus annuus)
- is an annual plant native to the Americas.
- they are easy-to-grow
- they brighten up any garden with their large, dramatic heads and petals.
- they can grow anywhere from two to fifteen feet tall depending on the variety.
