UP UP and AWAY

Today Mike and I got up at 5 am and drove over the mountains to Winthrop Wa.
When we go to our hotel we say some people that had just finished a balloon festival. About 20 balloons went up at 6;45 am so when we got there the show was over.
One guy however decided to do an afternoon flight. They had a full balloon so we just went to watch. Just before launch time the guy came up to us and said they had room for just 1 person.. Well Mike didn't want to go so I jumped at the chance. We were up for 1 1/2 hours. Absolutely beautiful view.

When it came to landing that was a problem. He planned on landing in one parking lot but the wind prevented that. so he planned on a church lot, that didn't happen either. What was fun was watching his ground crew running below. Next thing you know they had to get in their van and follow until he told then where he could land. We made a crash landing in someone's back yard. It was exciting. I had it all planned I was going to put my arms around the old lady next to me and get her down in the corner and keep her safe. They told us what to do to lessen the fall.
Well we made it down and everyone was fine. LOTS of fun was had.

Apparently they will have another one in the morning if the rain stops. Fingers crossed.....
