Blossom

Too windy and wild to go over the barriers into Kirkwall today so a morning of shopping turned into a morning of baking instead. Chicken and mushroom pie and lemon and ginger buns then a trip to the local shop for essentials.

Mike was busy with the gloss paint on the woodwork in the hall so Ollie and I bid a hasty retreat for a blowy walk round the fields. Large hairy dog and wet paint are a bad combination!

In the greenhouse the little peach tree has burst into flower and is looking lovely.
