Sunrise at Fishers Green

Having spent the best part of a hundred quid getting the crack in my LCD display of my D300 fixed, and the sensor cleaned properly, I have a bit of new found enthusiasm, which saw me rise at dawn and head off to the Bittern Hide at Fishers Green. I sat in there for half an hour and saw next to nothing, so I went for a walk and changed from my long lens to a wide angle. So then of course all the birds appear so I change back to my long lens, then the herons fly off (for such a large bird they fly out of focus remarkably quickly) and the kingfisher streaks past. So I go back to my wide angle, to take a photo of the heron laughing at me from the top of a tree while the sunbeams pour in through the trees. Well at least I got a nice photo to take home with me, even if, as usual, I got it in the last 5 mins of my trip.
